The Lemur has a strange and curious histroy. It is found on the island of Madagascar, and nowhere else on earth. It has only known humans for about two thousand years -- since aborginal people first sailed to the island. Since the arrival of humans, fifteen species of Lemurs have died off. The extinction of the world's animals is an important issue and perhaps a greater knowledge of the evolution of the Lemur and the change in the earth will better our understanding of the future of the Lemur -- and all life on earth.
